It goes without saying that the one thing that bedevils car photography is the weather. Not necessarily good weather but the right weather. Sometimes you want it to rain, to be overcast or like here – soft sunlight in a slight hazy sky. Important because I wanted soft highlights on the vehicles. As if that wasn’t enough, we also needed the tide to be on the turn to expose the maximum dry sandy beach.
Marrying these two conditions together, during a hit and miss summer was a real problem…. but there was just this little window of opportunity and the plan came together!
The commission for this set of images came from a well known local advertising agency. The images appeared in local press, bus sides and 48 sheet posters to advertise a great weekend offer.
